On June 13, 2016, the Ameson Foundation attended the annual Awards Gala hosted by the International Leadership Foundation (ILF) and the Coalition of Asian American Business Organizations (CAABO). The event was held at the Washington, DC Capital Hilton. In attendance from Ameson were Director Mr. Stephen Smith, Deputy Director Mr. Zhu Xiao Di, and Public Relations Manager Mr. Nathan Montgomery.
Every year, the International Leadership Foundation invites prominent figures in the Washington, DC area to honor and award selected individuals who have made significant contributions to the Asian community and their countries. This year, Senate Majority Leader and U.S. Senator for Kentucky, Mitch McConnell, former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao, and Maryland First Lady Mrs. Yumi Hogan were invited to deliver speeches at the event. Other representatives of the United States Congress also made statements. During the evening, the representatives of Ameson Foundation had the opportunity to engage in conversation with officials of the Governor's Office of Maryland. Mr. Zhu Xiao Di had the opportunity to speak with Senator Mitch McConnell at one point during the event.

As stated by Ms. Chiling Tong, Founder and CEO of the International Leadership Foundation, the mission of the ILF is to promote civic awareness, public utility and the economic benefits of Asian-American communities in the United States. Through its network of business community leaders, the ILF helps young people succeed in entrepreneurship, international trade and politics.
As always, Ameson Foundation supports the efforts and contributions of the International Leadership Foundation and the Coalition of Asian American Business Organizations to promote the exchange of cultures, languages and customs around the world.
